This theme combines tropical sounds with elements of cumbia, bachata, vallenato, and the urban genre. The song’s rhythm is undeniably infectious, and in its lyrics, composer Rodolfo Barreras—who is also the internationally renowned author of «Es Mentiroso»—deftly and ironically describes the situations that women and/or couples encounter using the expression «the repentant dog returns, with its tail between its legs,» a very well-known Latin expression. «It is a song with which I have identified myself ever since I heard it. I enjoy the musical and visual production process because we wanted to make it different; I won’t say anything else, listen to it and let me know», Tañón said. «Perro arrepentido» is a positive song that is part of the more than 15 songs that Olga has recorded in the last 15 months and is available for the enjoyment of her fans. «La mujer de fuego» is an artist with a vision of reinventing herself both musically and personally. Olga Tañón, Eliot Mago D’Oz, and Billy Denizard produced the music for «Perro Arrepentido». This theme debuts with an official video shot in the picturesque streets of Santa Fe de Antioquia, Colombia, where folklore, culture, and the emotions of the locals rule. Billy Denizard oversaw the video’s creative concept. Andrés Ricaurte and Billy Denizard co-directed the video, which was also produced by Punto 8 and Maria de los Angeles Martinez.
