Héctor se mudó a la Ciudad de México a los 18 años buscando un futuro en la industria musical. Yahir “Choco” Garduño, de 18 años, nació en Mexicali, Baja California y creció en Calexico, California. “El Choco” comenzó a tocar la guitarra desde los 15 años e inmediatamente se enamoró del instrumento. Danny Rea, de 22 años, nació en Waukegan, Illinois, y ha pasado años persiguiendo su sueño de convertirse en un increíble artista «norteño». | The group Also Unveils The EP’s Focus Track “Otro Triste Invierno” |
| Nuevo Elemento, Regional Mexican music’s first boyband, releases their first holiday EP Nueva Navidad today. In conjunction with this release, the group also presents the focus track “Otro Triste Invierno” accompanied by a new music video. “Otro Triste Invierno” is a breakup-themed ranchera written by the song’s producer, the legendary Luciano Luna, along with the group’s singer Héctor Osobampo, who dedicates this song to everyone who yearns to have their partner back in this season. As the lyrics in Spanish say: “They play the song that you liked and it reminds me of you, today all signs point to it being another sad winter.” In the music video, the members of Nuevo Elemento – Héctor, Alejandro “Bebo” Garfías, Danny Rea and Yahir “Choco” Garduño, get into the holiday spirit with sparklers and gift boxes. The EP and single arrive one week after the first preview of the record, “Cada Diciembre.”Also co-written by Luciano Luna, it was originally recorded by Los Plebes del Rancho in 2015. This waltz-tempo norteño-ranchera fusion is for everyone who has suffered a heartbreak and feels the absence of a loved one most acutely during this month. Among the songs of Nueva Navidad, we can enjoy another original track by Luciano Lunaand Héctor Osobampo – “Llegó el Día de Reyes,” a Tejano-norteño styled rhythmic ballad that highlights the season’s Latino traditions: “On January 6 we want to celebrate. Rosca bread on the table is a must, Three Kings’ Day has just arrived.” The celebrations continue with their version of “El Año Viejo,” the 1952 classic written by the Colombian songwriter and musician Crescencio Salcedo. Backed by a swinging brass section, the boys of Nuevo Elemento get the New Year’s party started cumbia-style with their energy and swagger. For their version of “En Esta Navidad,” originally recorded by the late Mexican singer Valentín Elizalde, the group gets sentimental and showcases its splendid harmonies on this song of yearning. Nueva Navidad is the band’s second EP and arrives just one month after their debut EP 4 Sueños 1 Realidad, which features four original compositions and two covers, including the hit singles “No Mereces Tanto” and “Mía.” Nueva Navidad tracklisting:1. Yahir “Choco” Garduño, 18, born in Mexicali, Baja California, and raised in Calexico, California. “El Choco” began playing the guitar at the age of 15, and immediately fell in love with the instrument. Danny Rea, 22, of Waukegan, Illinois who has spent years working on becoming the best Norteño artist he can be. Alejandro “Bebo” Garfías, 18, of Brownsville, Texas is the newest member of the band.
