Monegro, presidente del Comit\u00e9 Organizador del evento regional multideportivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La elecci\u00f3n de estas fechas se realiz\u00f3 en consonancia con el progreso organizativo alcanzado por el Comit\u00e9 Organizador, y teniendo en cuenta los calendarios de actividades del Comit\u00e9 Ol\u00edmpico Internacional (COI) y de Panam Sports, anteriormente conocida como ODEPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El evento de Santo Domingo 2026 reviste una importancia especial al coincidir con el centenario de fundaci\u00f3n de Centro Caribe Sports, anteriormente denominada Organizaci\u00f3n Deportiva Centroamericana y del Caribe (ODECABE), y por ser la tercera ocasi\u00f3n en que la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana ser\u00e1 sede de este evento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luis Mej\u00eda Oviedo, presidente de Centro Caribe Sports, expres\u00f3 su satisfacci\u00f3n por el progreso organizativo alcanzado por el Comit\u00e9 Organizador. Subray\u00f3 la responsabilidad de Centro Caribe Sports de respaldar al Comit\u00e9 Organizador en todas las etapas hasta la conclusi\u00f3n de los XXV Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, as\u00ed como la conmemoraci\u00f3n del centenario de este evento. Adem\u00e1s, agradeci\u00f3 el apoyo entusiasta brindado por el presidente Luis Abinader para la realizaci\u00f3n de estos Juegos, instando al cumplimiento del calendario de trabajo dise\u00f1ado por el Comit\u00e9 Organizador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adem\u00e1s de Monegro, los otros miembros del Comit\u00e9 Organizador son la alcaldesa Carolina Mej\u00eda, el ministro de deportes Francisco Camacho; el ministro de Obras P\u00fablicas Deligne Asenci\u00f3n; el presidente del Comit\u00e9 Ol\u00edmpico Dominicano, Garibaldy Bautista, Felipe Vicini, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Ramos, Fernando Langa, Mercedes Canalda y Frank El\u00edas Rainieri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El presidente del Comit\u00e9 Organizado inform\u00f3 que en los Juegos de Santo Domingo se competir\u00e1 en m\u00e1s de 30 deportes y unas 60 disciplinas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Se espera que en total se lleven a cabo 413 eventos, y se aspira a que muchos de ellos sean clasificatorios para los Juegos Panamericanos de 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Se espera la participaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 6,000 atletas de diferentes pa\u00edses del \u00e1rea centroamericana y del Caribe, y se prev\u00e9 una afluencia de alrededor de cien mil visitantes al pa\u00eds con motivo del evento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Monegro expres\u00f3 su entusiasmo por estos juegos, que no solo contribuir\u00e1n al desarrollo de los atletas dominicanos, sino que tambi\u00e9n sentar\u00e1n las bases para la creaci\u00f3n de una pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica de turismo deportivo en la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana y la integraci\u00f3n de la dirigencia deportiva nacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo 2026 Games celebration date announced<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><u>The Games will be held from July 24 to August 8<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SANTO DOMINGO, D.N.- The XXV Central American and Caribbean Sports Games, Santo Domingo 2026, will take place from July 24 to August 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The revelation was made by Luis Mej\u00eda Oviedo, president of Centro Caribe Sports, and Jos\u00e9 P. Monegro, president of the Organizing Committee of the regional multi-sports event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The choice of these dates was made in line with the organizational progress achieved by the Organizing Committee and taking into account the activity calendars of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Panam Sports, formerly known as ODEPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Santo Domingo 2026 event is of special importance as it coincides with the centenary of the founding of Centro Caribe Sports, previously called the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization (CSOECABE), and for being the third time that the Dominican Republic will host this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luis Mej\u00eda Oviedo, president of Centro Caribe Sports, expressed his satisfaction with the organizational progress achieved by the Organizing Committee. He underlined the responsibility of Centro Caribe Sports to support the Organizing Committee at all stages until the conclusion of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games, as well as the commemoration of the centenary of this event. In addition, he thanked the enthusiastic support provided by President Luis Abinader for the holding of these Games, urging compliance with the work schedule designed by the Organizing Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to Monegro, the other members of the Organizing Committee are Mayor Carolina Mej\u00eda, Sports Minister Francisco Camacho; the Minister of Public Works Deligne Asenci\u00f3n; the president of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Garibaldy Bautista, Felipe Vicini, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Ramos, Fernando Langa, Mercedes Canalda and Frank El\u00edas Rainieri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The president of the Organizing Committee reported that in the Santo Domingo Games there will be competition in more than 30 sports and about 60 disciplines. A total of 413 events are expected to be held, and many of them are expected to qualify for the 2027 Pan American Games.
