Por eso, aun estando en fiesta, pr\u00f3ximo a Navidad y A\u00f1o Nuevo, era obligado hablar de las partidas, aun qued\u00e1ndose eternamente en el alma de la Humanidad y la Naci\u00f3n Dominicana, de Fidel y Mayonex Vargas. <\/p>\n Igual hice referencia al reciente fallecimiento de un ser muy sencillo y cari\u00f1oso, Eliseo (David) Bruno, que en esas horas enlutaba, al pie de Loma Miranda, a dos familias luchadoras (Bruno y Morillo) por la preservaci\u00f3n de ese patrimonio natural, a la comunidad de Los Algarrobos y a muchos de los\/as presentes; destacando tambi\u00e9n el sacrificio y la bondad personas valiosas no necesariamente famosas.<\/p>\n Dicho esto ahora quiero dedicar estas l\u00edneas a compartir con ustedes algunas reflexiones sobre Mayobanex Vargas Vargas: el joven campesino, modesto agricultor toda la vida, que en rebeld\u00eda contra la tiran\u00eda de Trujillo logr\u00f3 alcanzar -sin \u00ednfulas ni ambiciones personales- el galard\u00f3n de H\u00e9roe Nacional con su estelar participaci\u00f3n en la Expedici\u00f3n Guerrillera de 1959, que aun derrotada militarmente, consagr\u00f3 su victoria pol\u00edtica estremeciendo el despotismo absoluto de aquellos tiempos y abriendo las compuertas de la libertad.<\/p>\n Pero no se detienen los extraordinarios m\u00e9ritos de \u00abMayo\u00bb -como cari\u00f1osamente le dicen en su ciudad natal, Bonao, a Mayobanex- en aquella epopeya de Junio que parti\u00f3 del Oriente cubano hacia la costa Norte dominicana con la venia solidaria de Fidel, Ra\u00fal y el Che, y la participaci\u00f3n directa del admirado Comandante de Sierra Maestra, Delio G\u00f3mez Ochoa. No.<\/p>\n Su hero\u00edsmo perdur\u00f3 sin manchas, se remoz\u00f3 constantemente en su humildad, en su sencillez, en su estoica resistencia a aprovecharse de sus m\u00e9ritos pol\u00edticos, en el rechazo a la tentaci\u00f3n del privilegio y el soborno oficial, en la determinaci\u00f3n de no vender sus convicciones ni su cercan\u00eda e identidades con los\/as de abajo. Entonces, al concluir as\u00ed su vida f\u00edsica, su heroicidad no solo ni se manch\u00f3 ni se enturbi\u00f3, sino que se duplic\u00f3 en grande.<\/p>\n Pero tampoco el largo trayecto emprendido por ese H\u00e9roe de Junio se limit\u00f3 a ese otro m\u00e9rito inconmensurable, porque \u00abMayo\u00bb, el guerrillero heroico dominicano, supo adem\u00e1s mantener en alto el Programa de los H\u00e9roes de Junio del 59 (Soberan\u00eda, Democracia real, Constituyente Popular, Reforma Agraria, Reforma Urbana, Salud y Educaci\u00f3n gratuitas…) y abrazarlo permanentemente en medio de la traici\u00f3n a su contenido por todos los gobiernos post-tiran\u00eda trujillista, con la honrosa excepci\u00f3n del presidido por Juan Bosch y el Gobierno en Armas del coronel Caama\u00f1o. Y lo hizo respaldando todas las causas justas hasta sellar su triple heroicidad.<\/p>\n Jam\u00e1s olvidar\u00e9 sus abrazos y sus reiteradas palabras en Loma Miranda, participando en recientes movilizaciones contra la transnacional minera FALCONDO XTRATA NIQUEL: \u00abestoy dispuesto a retomar las armas para defender este tesoro natural\u00bb. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n 25-12-2016, Santo Domingo, RD.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n TRIPLE H\u00c9RO<\/p>\n By: Narciso Isa Conde<\/p>\n I said at the end-of-year party of our Revolutionary Left-IR that life is impacted by a set of joys and sorrows that constantly overlap.
