Por Narciso Isa Conde<\/strong><\/p>\n (En espa\u00f1ol e ingl\u00e9s)<\/p>\n Resultado de imagen de protesta verde en la onu<\/p>\n El Presidente Medina retorn\u00f3 al pa\u00eds antes de hablar en la Asamblea General de la ONU disque para hacerle frente al hurac\u00e1n Mar\u00eda.<\/p>\n Regres\u00f3 el martes 19, precisamente el d\u00eda que le tocaba su turno, delegando en su inefable Canciller -un hombre de grandes \u00e9xitos en el negocio de la pol\u00edtica- su discurso dirigido a clamar ayuda para las islas caribe\u00f1as azotadas -m\u00e1s que por huracanes naturales- por ciclones neoliberales, latrocinios pol\u00edticos y depredaciones planetarias a cargo del gran capital globalizado.<\/p>\n El Presidente Medina lleg\u00f3 ese d\u00eda al pa\u00eds como si se tratara de un Superman Anti-hurac\u00e1n insustituible para abatir a Mar\u00eda, que comenz\u00f3 a desplegar sus vientos y lluvias el mi\u00e9rcoles por la noche.<\/p>\n Esa excusa de entrada pint\u00f3 floja. Pero adem\u00e1s, antes de Danilo partir a New York, todo lo que pod\u00eda hacer en tales circunstancias este Estado maltrecho e imprevisor, estaba decidido.<\/p>\n No se trataba de la ausencia de un gran predictor, un meteor\u00f3logo eminente o un imprescindible especialista en riesgos y contingencias de ese tipo, por lo que ese argumento evidenci\u00f3 tempranamente las caracter\u00edsticas de un mal pretexto y exhibi\u00f3 una alta dosis de fantasmeo y allante. Otra vez los Joao Santana empe\u00f1ados en sustituir lo real por lo virtual para cuidar la imagen del mandam\u00e1s.<\/p>\n En verdad otra raz\u00f3n motiv\u00f3 tal decisi\u00f3n. En New York, por los alrededores de la ONU y del hotel donde se hospedaba el monarca morado y su comitiva, rondaba otro hurac\u00e1n: el hurac\u00e1n verde que tiende a transformarse en poderoso tsunami capaz de arrasar la corrupci\u00f3n y la impunidad que encarna el r\u00e9gimen destructivo que preside el digno sucesor de Leonel Fern\u00e1ndez, el prominente estratega Danilo Medina S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>\n As\u00ed las cosas, Danilo -ponderando el hurac\u00e1n verde como mucho m\u00e1s peligroso para \u00e9l y los suyos- le sali\u00f3 huyendo a la r\u00e1fagas verdes y decidi\u00f3 virar para la isla a enfrentar \u00abheroicamente\u00bb a la estigmatizada Mar\u00eda; un cicl\u00f3n incapaz de penetrar en el Palacio Nacional y en su residencia, amigo entra\u00f1able de los super-blindados pol\u00edticos y tutumpotes corruptos e implacable adversario del pueblo y la naturaleza dram\u00e1ticamente empobrecida por el poder constituido. \u00a1Qu\u00e9 valiente el Presidente!<\/p>\n A eso se le agreg\u00f3 otro inconveniente: Mr. Trump -taca\u00f1o colonialista de tomo y lomo- no quiso recibirlo ni convocarlo al intercambio con autoridades de pa\u00edses caribe\u00f1os, asumiendo el cuento peledeista de que Dominicana es una \u00abgran potencia\u00bb en crecimiento que puede prescindir de la migajas imperiales. (ARTICULO DOMINICAL El Nacional, domingo 24-09-17)<\/p>\n<\/p>\n ENGLISH<\/p>\n THE GREEN, DANILO AND MARIA<\/p>\n By Narciso Isa Conde<\/p>\n President Medina returned to the country just before speaking at the UN General Assembly to face Hurricane Maria.<\/p>\n He returned on Tuesday 19, precisely on the day of his turn, delegating to his ineffable Chancellor – a man of great success in the business of politics – his speech aimed at calling for help for the Caribbean islands whipped – rather than natural hurricanes – by neoliberal cyclones, political robberies and planetary depredations by large globalized capital.<\/p>\n President Medina came to the country that day as if it were an irrepressible Superman Anti-Hurricane to bring down Maria, who began to deploy her winds and rains Wednesday night.<\/p>\n That excuse of entry painted limp. But in addition, before Danilo left for New York, all that could be done in such circumstances, this battered and unforeseen state, was decided.<\/p>\n It was not the absence of a great predictor, an eminent meteorologist or an indispensable specialist in such risks and contingencies so that this argument evidenced early on the characteristics of a bad pretext and exhibited a high dose of making phantasms and bragging. Again the Jo\u00e3o Santana bent on replacing the real with the virtual to take care of the image of the boss.<\/p>\n In fact another reason motivated such a decision. In New York, around the UN and the hotel where the purple monarch and his entourage were staying, another hurricane was hovering: the green hurricane that tends to become a powerful tsunami capable of destroying the corruption and impunity embodied in the destructive regime presided by the dignified successor of Leonel Fernandez, the prominent strategist Danilo Medina S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>\n Thus, Danilo – pondering the green hurricane as much more dangerous for him and his people – fled him to the green bursts and decided to turn to the island to face \u00abheroically\u00bb the stigmatized Maria; a cyclone incapable of penetrating the National Palace and its residence, an intimate friend of the corrupt super-armored politicians and big shots and implacable adversary of the town and the nature dramatically impoverished by the constituted power.
